Pathanamthitta district is district located in the southern part of the state of Kerala, India. The district headquarters is in Pathanamthitta town. The district is surrounded by Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha and Kollam districts.

In the video, we can see SRK lip-syncing one of Rabindranath Tagore’s famous compositions – Ogo Bideshini - as he is onboard a Tram in Bengal. The heritage transport is unique to Kolkata and is one of the most captivating attractions in the city.
Interestingly, SRK had essayed a Bengali man - Devdas Mukherjee in the onscreen adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattpadhyay’s 1917 novel ‘Devdas’, directed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s namesake film in 2002.

Foreigners travelling across India often need to get several documents stamped. But did you know that even an Indian citizen can't visit every part of the nation?

To go to these places, an Inner Line Permit is required by an Indian tourist which allows the citizen into a protected / restricted area for a limited period.
Here are 5 such places:-

Arunachal Pradesh

To enter the most north-eastern state of the nation, an ILP is required by a non local. Bordering China and Myanmar, the Arunachal Pradesh falls under restricted area list. Tawang, Roing, Itanagar, Bomdila, Ziro,Bhalukpong,Pasighat, Anini, Along are among the famous tourist destinations of Arunachal Pradesh.

Mizoram

Known for its its dramatic landscape and pleasant climate, the Mizoram is home to various tribes who practice a wide range of religious customs and cultural splendour. Phawngpui Hills, Vantawang falls, Palak Lake, Chhingpui heritage sites, local dance attracts many travel enthusiasts. The ILP can be obtained at Lengpui Airport, Shillong, New Delhi, Kolkata, Silchar and Guwahati.

Areas of Ladakh

Though the entire Jammu & kashmir state is beautiful as well as sensitive, the Ladakh region of state is even more so since it borders both Pakistan and China. All parts of Ladakh are not accessible to civilians. To visit Changthang, Hanle, Loma, Changthang Valley,beyond Loma bend, Marsimik La and Chumur. There are chances that you can be sent back by the Army from Chushul and Hanle.

Areas of Sikkim

Sharing its border with three countries, Sikkim has certain entry restrictions. An Indian national requires permit to visit protected areas like Tsomgo Lake, Nathulla, Dzongri & Goechala Trek, Yumthang, Yumesamdong, Thangu/Chopta Valley, Gurudongmar Lake. The permit can be obtained at Bagdogra Airport, Rangpo checkpost, Siliguri, Kolkata and New Delhi.

Nagaland

An Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required for domestic tourists entering Nagaland. Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Wokha, Mon, Phek, Kiphire are among the tourist destinations of Nagaland. The domestic tourists can obtain ILP from Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Kohima and Mokokchung, New Delhi, Kolkata and Shillong.

#1. Shivas, Karnataka

The first spot on the list is named after a God who, according to mythology, let the great Ganges flow from his locks onto our planet. The beach over here is surrounded by awesome green forests. This is a popular place of worship for Shaivites. It is situated on a small peninsula at Murudeshwara in the Arabian Sea. On either side of the peninsula, there are large sheltered bays that make for ideal surfing conditions even during onshore NW (North West) or SW (South West) winds. The waves at this place break from one foot to ten feet depending on the time of the year. It is a haven for photographers also as the waves and the scenery is amazing.

#2. Kodi Bengre, Karnataka

Kodi Bengre, in Karnataka, is where India’s first female surfer Ishita Malvia has set up a beautiful surfing club called the ‘Shaka Surf Club’. It is a great place to learn surfing. Lucky couples can also spot dolphins in the waters out here! How cool is that?

One side overlooks river Swarna and the other side overlooks the Arabian sea. This place has waves of three to five feet in height and in the pre-monsoon season, it goes up to 10-15 feet. This place surely is a heaven sent for beginner surfers.

#3. Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu

The southernmost tip of India is a place with the greatest of winds all year round. The waves can get pretty big here, which is an attraction for seasoned surfers. One can even spot a great big statue of Tamil poet and saint Thiruvalluvar here.

The water is clean and the waves are aplenty. Kanyakumari is not widely famous for being a surfing haven, but with the proper management it can very well be India’s best surfing area. Nevertheless, this would make a perfect place for couples.

#4. Kovalam beach, Kerala

#6. Alwars, Tamil Nadu
