#1. Iceland

Although Dilwale fell flat on its face, but the song Gerua which was shot over a span of seven days in inhospitable conditions did hit the right chord. Well, if truth be told it has lured us into visiting Iceland! Apparently Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were getting back on-screen after a long hiatus, and so Rohit Shetty wanted the locales to be chosen wisely. And, what better place than the untouched Iceland! And as for you guys, make sure you do visit Iceland before it becomes mainstream.

#2. Pangong Lake, Ladakh

It is no secret that the movie 3 Idiots created a buzz about the beautiful Pangong Lake, and many have thronged it since then. In fact, the lake was featured in a scene from the movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan too wherein Shah Rukh Khan saved Anushka from drowning. Now, if you both have a kickass sense of adventure then Ladakh is the place to be, and Pangong must figure in your itinerary. So, vroom your way on the bullet with your partner, and soak in the goodness of nature and warm people of Ladakh!

#3. Corsica, France

Director Imtiaz Ali is a brilliant filmmaker and storyteller. Besides, we get to see the most beautiful places through his movies. Take for instance Corsica, where the film Tamashawas briefly shot. When you see the neon-coloured doors, cobbled streets, and all those a la carte restaurants you can’t help, but wish you were there walking in the actors’ shoes, and humming the song Matargashti! By the way, if you do plan to go, make sure you do those uber-crazy moves with your partner imagining yourself to be Ranbir and Deepika!

#4. Munnar, Kerala

If you have a raised eyebrow to see Kerala on our list, think again. Kerala is not about only the backwaters, elephant rides and wildlife sanctuaries, but sweeping cover of tea plantations as well! Have you not seen Chennai Express? A few scenes were shot at the tea plantations in Munnar. You can perhaps see the Devikulam Lake as well where Deepika’s aka Meenamma’s father’s jeep drowns! You can do this much for the love of Bollywood, no?

#5. Nevada, USA

What makes us pick Nevada is that we remember the song Hairat from the movie, Anjaana Anjaani. The song was shot at the Jean Dry Lake, and looks almost like a dream when Priyanka and Ranbir drive on the loop-like road with nothing but barren land around. It may not sound so romantic for most couples, but we know that it will appeal to those lovebirds who are up for an adventure in a desert!

#6. Fort Aguada & Divar Island, Goa

Goa has been a favourite spot for Bollywood filmmakers ever since Urmila Matondkar and Jackie Shroff starrer Rangeela hit the theatres. After all, who can escape the other-worldly charm of beaches, ancient churches, and the towering waterfalls. But, amidst the usual touristy spots is Fort Aguada in North Goa where some of the scenes of movies like Dil Chahta Hai, Golmaal and Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., have been shot. If not the fort, then go ahead and explore Divar Island that is 10 kilometres from Panjim where Finding Fanny was shot. The two of you will fall in love with the place the moment you set your foot there.

#7. Prague, Czech Republic

Imtiaz Ali coaxes us into exploring the beautiful city of Prague where he shot two songs for his movie, Rockstar. The songs Aur Ho and Hawaa Hawaa were shot on the scenic spots that make us wonder why we have not backpacked to Czech already! Well hit the roads when you must, but if the two of you have an eye for architectural marvel then Prague is the place to be! Guzzle a beer or more in the pubs, and go gung-ho singing Bollywood numbers!
