1. Kuranda Scenic Railway.
This 23 miles long railway bridge is located between Kuranda and Queensland, Australia. It is no longer used for commuting but mainly as a tourist attraction. It takes travelers nearly 2 hours to pass this bridge and also consists of a stop point near a waterfall during the ride.
2. Argo Gede Train Railroad.
It runs in Jakarta and if you're somebody who's scared of heights, dare not look into the valley below. This train also had a major accident in 2002 when it derailed and fell into the valley.
3. Tren A Las Nubes
It is known as the 'train of the clouds' since it is the 3rd highest bridge in the world. It is nearly 13,850 feet above sea level. It connects the North-Central border of Argentina to Chile.
4. Chennai - Rameswaram Route
Built in the 19th century, this bridge is directly upon the Indian Ocean. The train travels very slowly over this bridge so that it doesn't get swept into the waters by the storm. A major accident took place in 1964 when a cyclone derailed the train and it was swept by the ocean.
5. Cumbres And Toltec Scenic Railway.
Located in New Mexico, this railroad connects Colorado and New Mexico. It is the longest railroad to hold up a steam engine and the mere height at which the train travels is scary.
6. The White Pass And Yokun Route.
It is located in Alaska and this train has had some serious accidents in a very short span of time. Derailments and accidents have left many people dead and injured but this train still continues to work.
7. Georgetown Loop Railroad.
Just a 3-foot wide railroad located in Colorado, this railroad route has a total distance of 4 miles that is nearly 6,000 feet above sea level.
8. Aso Minami Route.
With only 3 feet and 6 inches in width, this railroad is thousands of feet above the ground. Travelers may find this railroad to be very scenic and beautiful at some points, but equally scary at others.
9. The Burma Railway aka The Death Railway.
This railroad is located in Thailand and has a length of nearly 258 miles. It is known to be The Death Railway owing to the number of workers who died while making it. The estimated number of deaths was 12,621.
10. Beipanjiang Bridge.
More than 1,000 in height, this railroad bridge is probably considered among the most dangerous bridges in the world. In also has a hill in its route which makes it feel like you're traveling on a roller coaster.
