Whether you're a student or just a young with a serious case of the travel bug, you don't have to save up loads for a first class flight and accommodation out to some far away land to have a good time! (Check out flight comparison sites such as Skyscanner for the cheapest flights!).
Whatever the budget, you'll have a blast in the following locations:
(TIP: Spend smart by sticking to youth hostels and tasty street food!)
1. Bangkok, Thailand
Or anywhere else in Asia for that matter. Thailand is a popular tourist destination for beautiful sights and everything is ridiculously affordable! A meal there will only cost you around £1.50.
2. Ha-Long Bay, Vietnam
Stunning views and incredible and I do mean incredibly edible, tasty food you'll be left craving. Check out the cities Saigon and Hanoi, there's actually Vietnamese beers named after them. Go on, treat your taste buds!
3. India
Arguably one of the most beautiful places in the world. Stay away from the bigger cities and you'll be fine. Beauty, affordable accommodation and Indian cuisine. Winning.
4. Seoul, South Korea
OK, so the neighboring Tokyo and China are costly but don't let that put you off! South Korea is a popular destination for young travelers. With lovely beaches, and restaurant food that won't cost a fortune, it's worth a visit. "Chin Chin!"
5. Bolivia, South America
One of the most traveled and most affordable locations. Venture to other nearby towns such as Machu Picchu for even more stunning sights whilst you're there!
Well, if you're in the UK that's the further afield locations out of the way, now on to what you've been waiting for – Europe. The flights are cheap, the accommodation is affordable, it's all close to home and best of all – the drinks cost half what they do in Londres.
6. Oktoberfest, Munich
Ah "Munchen" I do wonder if it earned its name cos of the yummy cheap eats – the pastries are 10 times bigger and they'll cost you near to nothing, hostel cost: 5 euros a night with a bit of haggling. TIP: Visit in September – October for Oktoberfest!
7. Golden Sands Beach, Varna, Bulgaria
According to my Bulgarian sources, with all drinks around a quid this is THE place to have a great night out on the cheap and accommodation won't break the bank either!
8. Budapest, Hungary
Nominated the cheapest place to drink in Europe. If you have however, visited all of the above before stopping in Budapest and your wallet is feeling it, you may just find students here who are more than happy to offer you accommodation. They may even offer you dinner, tours of the town centre, and accompany you on your nights out – True story!
9. Prague, Czech Republic
About the same cost as Hungary, with a similar scene to Amsterdam and the same sized 3 storey clubs as you'll find in Budapest, great nights out to be had here!
